AZDye™ 555 Alkyne is a water-soluble, bright, orange-fluorescent dye with excitation ideally suited for the 532 nm or 555 nm laser lines and visualized with TRITC (tetramethylrhodamine) filter sets.
AZDye™ 555 Alkyne is a very bright, pH insensitive alkyne-activated probe routinely used for imaging of azide-containing biomolecules. AZDye™ 555 Alkyne reacts with azides via a copper-catalyzed click reaction (CuAAC) to form a stable triazole linker. A probe for copper-less detection (AZDye™ 555 DBCO) is also available for application where the presence of copper is not acceptable.
AZDye™ 555 is spectrally is almost identical to Cy3 Dye, Alexa Fluor® 555, CF® 555 Dye, or any other Cyanine3 based fluorescent dyes.
