AFDye™ 532 Alkyne (Alexa Fluor® 532 Alkyne equivalent) is a bright, yellow-fluorescent, alkyne-activated probe routinely used for imaging of azide-containing biomolecules. AFDye™ 532 Alkyne reacts with azides via a copper-catalyzed click reaction (CuAAC) to form a stable triazole linker. A probe for copper-less detection, AFDye™ 532 DBCO, is also available for applications where the presence of copper is undesirable.
AFDye™ 532 Alkyne is ideally suited for the frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser line. This probe is water-soluble and its fluorescence is pH independent over a wide pH range. The brightness and photostability of AF 532 dyes are well suited to direct imaging of low-abundance targets.
AFDye™ 532 is spectrally identical to Alexa Fluor® 532, as well as CF®532 Dye.
